Issie the Wasy: Oh, those many summer (and winter) nights spent on the Official Message Board of the St. Louis Cardinals... so many... painful memories of perverts, weird trolls who posted more than the actual fans... visions of Depends dancing through our heads... it was enough to drive a Babe bat-Kennedy crazy. And in a way... it did. We sought solace elsewhere, but not before leaving with a few gems.

Jason Isringhausen is a decent closer, but certainly not worth the money he makes. And boy is he a whiner. But I digress... not to say that members of the Official Board are slow... but there was some genetic inbreeding there at some point. And the longer you stayed... the worse it got.

ANYWAY. Jason Isringhausen is much too long for most fans, so he goes by Izzy more than three fourths of the time. Some poster, filled with rage at another slight that damn Isringhausen placed upon him... SCREAMED SOMETHING ABOUT... Issy. We had no idea who he was talking about.

We gathered whom the tirade was about pretty soon after, but it was enough of an impact to make the Babes laugh for about thirty seconds. And that is quite some time for a certain Babe who will go unnamed. Ahem.

About five weeks later... a similar incident was brought out upon Cardinals fans by that treacherous number 44 and the bitching started off with something along the lines of "WASY DOES IT AGAIN."

This was just too much. We could calculate how 'Issy' was created. But WASY?

Thank you, oh Official Message Board... you may have killed off far too many brain cells, but you made us giggle if only for a moment.

Psst... didn't Kailyn tell you? He goes by "Jizzy" now. She named him all by herself. Very Happy

Cannot tell you how hard I laughed when I saw she'd tylered "Jizzy." But I think that was on purpose.

And, hell... I have one of my friends who doesn't even like baseball (but is forced to listen to my fangirldom) calling him Issy.

I need to get my roomate and her kid something... my family can wait til I see them again. My mom always bitches they didnt get anything last year, but SOMEONE picked up the tab for the trip to Spring Training. Meals included. Razz

I only have my mommy to shop for... Erik and I are pooling our money to get the gift. I asked him today if I could trust him to do it and he thought about it and said... "Yesssssssssssssssss..." in a very unconvincing fashion.

So, one more gift to get.
